A delegation from the China National Academy of Governance, paid a working visit to Jakarta Public Service Mall (MPP), Friday (12/13).

They said it was very humane, the officers were friendly and welcomed us very well

The delegates present were namely Prof. LI Wentang, Prof. SHI Hexing, Prof. CHEN Jianqi, Dr. DENG Han, Mr. WANG Yang, and Ms. LI Chuanhua.

They were accompanied by leadership of PANRB Ministry, State Administration Institute (LAN), and Jakarta Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service Agency (PMPTSP).

On that occasion, they were invited to see various facilities and innovations that had been implemented at MPP Jakarta. They then shared experiences related to the provision of public services, especially in the concept of integrated services and the governance of Public Service Mall.

LAN's Policy Analysis Center Head, Erna Irawati stated the delegates were impressed with the humanistic service at MPP Jakarta.

"They said it was very humane, the officers were friendly and welcomed us very well, there was a lactation room and a children's playroom. They were very impressed that there was a more humane aspect in public services in Jakarta," she explained.

She furthered appreciation for the progress of public services in Jakarta. It would open up opportunities to share and improve aspects of public services between the two countries.

Then one of the lessons that can be learned from China is the consistency of policy implementation, either in terms of regulation or budgeting.

"China's highly centralized government system ensures that policies are consistent from top to bottom. This is a challenge and a lesson for us so that good policies are also implemented perfectly," she continued.

Then today's visit demonstrated the potential for collaboration between Indonesia and China in improving public services.

"By sharing innovations and best practices, hopefully, both countries can mutually strengthen the quality of services to the public," she added.

PANRB Ministry's Public Services Digital Transformation Assistant Deputy, Yanuar Ahmad uttered MPP Jakarta is the best in Indonesia. Digitalization at MPP Jakarta has made things easier for the public.

"Administration matters can now be completed digitally from home via web or mobile application. People only need to come to MPP to pick up documents," he explained.

Currently, there are 272 MPPs throughout Indonesia, and PANRB Ministry continues to increase their number and quality. He assessed, MPP Jakarta is often used as an example, as it has transformed into comprehensive digital services.

Besides focusing on administration and licensing, the MPP must also develop community-based services. One of the proposed ideas is to build a Community Center completed with facilities, such as a co-working space for young people.

"MPP will be developed more inclusive to also support productive community activities, including for young workers who have limited time," he uttered.
